1. I posted this picture on my Facebook page recently. I really do hate Chris Brown, as much as I can hate someone who I don’t know in real life. He’s disgusting and vile and I will never understand why ladies think he’s so hot. Ew. But can I tell you something? I love that song “International Love” with him and Pitbull. It’s the Pitbull part that’s my favorite and still, I feel super guilty every time I don’t change the radio station when it comes on.
2. I’m helping out with this spaghetti dinner tonight and I’m super excited! All my life I’ve been fairly envious of people who had a passion — a job or activity they loved and devoted themselves to. Ever since I joined the Jaycees, I feel like I’ve found my passion — planning projects and helping out in my community, with a bonus of spending time with people who have a value system similar to my own. Anyway, if you’re in the Crystal Lake area tonight (and the looming snow hasn’t buried you in yet), come see us, eat some carbs and help support an amazing family!
3. I can’t get my shit together this week. At all. I’m completely distracted all the time by a million different things and I have terrible writer’s block. And my hands are cold. Wah.
4. I’m out of Sarah Addison Allen books to read (sadface), but I’ve found a new author I like pretty well: Joshilyn Jackson. I finished “Gods in Alabama” over the weekend and for the first time in a while, I really didn’t see the ending coming. Yesterday I picked up “Backseat Saints” — the main character also appeared in “Gods in Alabama,” and the story starts off with her trying to kill her husband. Both authors’ books are quirky things that take place in the South, and I am kind of obsessed, maybe because I’ve spent so little time in the South.
5. Hot pork and sauerkraut sandwiches with mustard. You should be eating more of them. Trust me.

1. Hating with you.
2. I really wanted to help promote it in the Weekender but you know the story. I will post on MCL’s FB.
3. Take a shower (lol!). Oh, and fingerless gloves.
4. I love reading and even more so when I haven’t read in awhile and have a moment to sit down and do it – distraction-free!
5. Recipe, pls.
I, too, enjoy the “International Love” song. Actually, I recently realized I like a lot of Pitbull songs. And Flo Rida. Who knew? But I think that’s one of the reasons I prefer to know nothing about actors and singers and other artists. I just want to enjoy the music/movie/tv show/etc without their stupid personal life decisions informing my opinion of them.
And thanks for the book recommendations! I added “Gods in Alabama” to my GoodReads.com list of books to read.
I hate Chris Brown too and thought it was incredibly gross and disgusting that he was featured on the Grammys. That being said, I love Pitbull and totally shake my booty to “International Love.” It is purely out of my love of all of Mr. 305′s songs though.
Everyone Loves Chris brown!!!!!!!!! I LOVE him with all my heart!!!!!!!<3
